Hi there! Mallory here… also known as Mama (to two boys), wife (to a husband in tech), Mal (to friends and family), and Dr. Mallory (to patients).
Over a year ago I made the decision to embark on a journey staying at home with my boys. Prior to being a SAHM, I held many professional roles as a licensed psychologist, from working in schools, leading parenting classes, and offering therapy and evaluations.
My experiences have led me to an important conclusion: We must empower parents. And that is exactly what we hope to do here.
Arizona has been "home" for most of my life, though I’ve lived in California, Oregon, and Nebraska. I love to brave travel with my family, indulge my sweet tooth, and stroll the neighborhood with my pup. My boys are teaching me something new about parenthood every day, and I am doing my best to be their best student!
Like many of you, I balance a lot of roles: wife, momma to two little ones, speech language pathologist, mentor, and encourager. Above all, I’m learning to give myself grace as I navigate through this busy time of life!
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, I work in private practice where I specialize in differential diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders.
Throughout my career, my heart has always been drawn to children with autism, ADHD, and learning challenges. I am passionate about empowering parents to help their children, and strive to integrate families into each treatment plan I develop.
I could happily spend hours wandering through any music store, and I love the challenge of re-purposing old treasures into something new. The rest of the time, you can find me gardening, exploring Arizona hiking trails, crossing items off of my to-do list, and traveling with my kids and husband.
I am a mom of two sassy girls, a wife of 15 years, and a child psychologist. I work part-time in my practice in Scottsdale, Arizona where I specialize in providing diagnostic evaluations for children with autism, ADHD, learning challenges and dyslexia, and anxiety.
After years of providing evaluations and therapy, I have found that families benefit greatly from ongoing training, emotional support, and compassion. I am passionate about educating and empowering parents, so that they can help their children gain success.
Though I live in Scottsdale, I am a country girl at heart. I spent my high school and college years shoveling horse manure and doing competitive show jumping. When I am not working with families, I am going to Orange Theory classes, constantly changing my girls out of Disney princess costumes, remodeling my midcentury modern home, and buying all the things I don't need at Target.
